The company
Verhuisgroep Noord moves offices, archives and practices, in the Netherlands and across the border into Germany. For each request a surveyor visits: he walks through the building, counts workstations and cabinets and checks the access, the lift and the parking space for the truck.
Where it got stuck
The surveyor used a paper form and estimated the cubic metres in his head. Working it out into a quote happened the next day at the office. For German customers the quote then still had to be translated.
How it works with Dealnote
- The surveyor records the conversation with the facility manager and takes photos of the archive, the server room and the loading area. The AI lists workstations, cabinets and special items per room.
- Calculation rules work out, per workstation and per cabinet, the volume in cubic metres, the number of moving boxes and roll containers, the number of movers and the hours. A floor without a lift adds a surcharge.
- For a customer in Germany the quote goes out in German, with the same breakdown. The customer page and emails follow that language.
- The customer signs online. After the move the planner creates the invoice in one click. If it hasn't been paid after the due date, a reminder goes out automatically.
An example
During the survey: 54 workstations on the second floor, a lift, 22 archive cabinets and a server cabinet that has to go separately. The calculation rules turn that into the volume, 540 moving boxes, 18 roll containers, six movers for two days and a line for the server cabinet. The surveyor checks the quote while still in the building and sends it.
