Lijnwerk Zakelijk: a telephony quote with one-off and monthly costs

You discuss a move to internet calling with the IT person and the office manager at the same time. This is how a telecom provider turns that into a clear quote, with the right number of licences and handsets.

The company

Lijnwerk Zakelijk provides telephony for companies with 5 to 150 employees: internet calling, landline and mobile numbers, handsets and a queue for reception. A sales conversation is usually with two people at once: the one in charge of the technology and the one in charge of the budget.

Where it got stuck

A lot gets said at once in a conversation like that. How many people actually make calls, who needs a desk phone and who only the app, how many numbers have to come along? Afterwards the account manager no longer knew who had said what, and a forgotten licence meant an awkward phone call after the switch.

How it works with Dealnote

  • The account manager records the conversation. Dealnote suggests who is who, so the summary says that the IT person mentioned 42 users and the office manager wants a queue for reception.
  • Calculation rules turn the input into lines: one licence per user, one handset per fixed desk, number blocks of ten and the one-off porting costs.
  • Monthly amounts are separate lines in the quote, with "per month" in the description. The contract term and notice period are in the standard terms, which appear under every quote automatically.
  • The quote goes to the office manager as a customer link. As soon as she signs, the deal in Pipedrive is marked as won automatically.
  • After the switch the account manager creates an invoice for the one-off costs in one click, which appears as a draft in Moneybird.

An example

In the conversation someone says: "42 people make calls, 30 of them are always in the office, we have 24 numbers now and want a few more." The calculation rule turns that into 42 licences, 30 handsets, three number blocks of ten and the porting costs for 24 numbers. The account manager only adjusts the discount and sends it.
