Customers often compare solar quotes on price. A clear quote shows why your offer is worth its money. This is what belongs in it.
The installation itself
- Number of panels, brand and type, with the output per panel in Wp and the total output.
- Inverter, with brand, type and rating.
- Mounting system, matched to the roof: tiled roof, flat roof, pitched roof.
- Cabling, protection and other parts.
- Any options, such as a home battery or monitoring, shown separately.
Work
- Installation and connection, with a clear schedule.
- Any extra work, such as modifying the fuse box or cable routes.
- Clean-up and handover.
Terms
- Warranty on panels, inverter and installation work, with durations.
- Yield estimate, with the assumptions (roof direction, pitch, shade). Do not make it a promise.
- Payment terms, such as a deposit and the remainder after handover.
- What is not included. For example a new meter cupboard or grid application, if it is not part of the price.
Price and VAT
Show the price clearly itemised on the quote and state the VAT rate applied. Check for yourself which rules apply at the time.
Saving time with calculation rules
Numbers of hooks, rails and clamps follow from the number of panels and rows. Record that once and you do not have to calculate it per quote. See also calculating material for tiled and flat roofs.
Dealnote is made for installers: photos of the roof with the conversation and calculation rules that determine the mounting material.
