A construction quote often has many lines, varying quantities and a customer who still wants changes. That puts demands on software.
What builders look for
- Calculating per m², metre or piece. Quantities follow from dimensions, not from a standard price.
- Your own items and hourly rates. Materials, labour and other costs separately, with your prices.
- Extra and reduced work. A quote you can adjust neatly without starting again.
- Working on site. You are at the customer's place, so it must work on your phone, with photos and notes.
- Clear scope. What is included and what is not, so there is no argument afterwards.
- Approval and record. The customer signs, and after that the quote is fixed.
- Carrying on to an invoice. Without retyping, possibly with instalments.
Calculation rules make the difference
In construction, situations repeat: painting a wall, cladding a roof, laying a floor. If you record per situation which items belong and how the quantity is calculated, you do not recalculate every time and you make fewer mistakes.
Questions for the demo
- Can I import my items?
- Can I set up formulas per situation?
- Does it work well on my phone at the customer's?
- Can the customer approve online?
- Where is my data?
