Recording at the customer's: how to keep your recording from stopping halfway

On site you only have your phone. With a few fixed habits the recording goes well.

Selling on site means: on the roof, in the meter cupboard or in the customer's kitchen. Recording with your phone works fine, if you know a few things.

Keep the screen on

Many browsers stop a recording as soon as the screen locks. Set your screen timeout a bit higher or use an app that keeps the screen active.

Pick a good spot

Put your phone between you and the customer, not in your jacket pocket. Noisy surroundings (wind, machines) worsen the text. Repeat important measurements out loud.

Combine with photos

A photo of the meter cupboard or the roof says more than three minutes of explanation. Take photos during the conversation and keep them with the same file.

Long conversation? No problem

A recording of an hour or two should work, without your phone freezing. Upload straight away, not only at the end.

Dealnote records in the browser for up to 2 hours, keeps the screen on, uploads straight away and lets you add photos and notes to the conversation. The AI uses those photos for the quote.
